There was some disgust about the recipies in FPS foodies. FPS food is a very specialist type of food, only needed when obsessed with playing computer game. I do not eat like that all the time. I know I would die.
This weekend I am in Sydney working for LAJ & Pauly on the mainlymedieval website. I work, Pauly works on MM & painting stuff, and LAJ works on biochem stuff, MM stuff and cooks.
Friday dinner was Kangaroo mince, spinach and ricotta Lasagne. And Saturday breakfast reheats as well. Lunch was smoked salmon and salad wraps. Dinner was Cajun pot pie followed by apple pie. Breakfast was fruit and mushrooms on toast. Lunch/Dinner is about to be a full lamb roast, and a cheese platter afterwards.
FPS Foodies is only for when gaming. I'm not completely silly :)

FPS Foodies: Dim Sims and Veggies
"Food you can cook in a map change"
When your map finishes, run to the kitchen and set up your steamer. (2 minutes)
Next map change, throw four dim sims and a large serve of mixed frozen veggies into the steamer and start it. (2 mins)
On the third map change, dump the dim sims in a bowl and pour on soy sauce and Tuscan seasoning over the top. Chop the dimmies, and ready them in stabable pieces. (3 minutes)
Eat and enjoy while not even missing a map. Yeah Yeah.
New piece of equipment: A Steamer. A steamer is a great piece of equipment for the gamer cook. You can let it do it's thing and there is nothing to watch, and will not 'burn over' or anything of that nature. Cost of a steamer is approximately one third the cost of a new game, which means real value for money.

FPS Foodies : Curried Salmon
"Food you can cook in a map change"
Gently heat a tablespoon of butter, and stir in teaspoon or two of curry powder. I like Ayam best. When you have a curry powder sauce, empty in a 425 gram tin of Pink Salmon. If you like your food wetter, don't drain. If you like your foods drier, drain the liquid. Stir the salmon into the curry sauce. All this is done on medium-low heat. When the carbs are ready, pour a serving of curried salmon over the top.
Carbs - Curried salmon goes best with rice, and is nice when potato crisps are used as the spoon. Carbs that can be subbed in: bread, well drained noodle, mashed potatoes.
"FPS Foodies" is a regular feature that I'm hoping to include in the blog. The restriction on gamer food is that the food has to be done in a single map cycle (20 minutes), or using only map changes (~3 minutes). The recipie also has to be able to be followed by someone with VERY limited culinary skills.
