I did post this yesterday, but thought it would make a cool journal post as well.

Remember, remember the fifth of November,
The gunpowder treason and plot,
I know of no reason
Why the gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot.
-.-
Hi Team,

On this highly relevant day, I would like to gauge interest in a special kind of event. A small team is putting together the requisite paperwork and licences to have a period firearms day in the New Years.

There are two types of interest needed.

1) Those who would be generally interested in attending a period (& just after period) firearms day

and

2) Those who would be interested in getting the relevant firearms licences in order to assist.

Please indicate  interest via an email.

Attending the event  would cost somewhere between $30- $50.

Those who are interested in acquiring a licence in order to assist, cost would be - Going to courses, and paying around $250 in necessary memberships and fees. Please advise via comment.

I will be doing the licensing procedure.

I assure you that all involved are loyal to the crown!

Thanks,

Bart

Remember, remember

that ‘V for Vendetta’

whilst an awesome film no doubt;

was naught but a fiction

with impeccable diction

rendered contextual for added clout.

Hi Bart,

Interesting thing. Many firearms are actually period. I have recently written an article on the subject if you are interested. I would be most interested in this particular venture. I am sure if you post something on the local lists you will get some interest.

Cheers,

Henry.

Heyo Henry - We will have mostly period firearms. A certain ex-QLder sword maker we both know, but who is a little shy on the internet, has been building them. Please feel free to forward the article to my email.
